The Difference Between Hemp Seed Oil and CBD Oil

Hemp seed oil and CBD oil are two different products derived from the cannabis plant. Hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant, while CBD oil comes from the leaves, stems and flowers of cannabis and hemp plants. Hemp seed oil is made by cold pressing the seeds of the hemp plant and is rich in essential amino acids, such as omega-3 fatty acids, as well as vitamin E. It does not contain cannabinoids, which are chemical agents in the hemp plant that cause different effects in the body.

CBD oil is produced using the entire hemp plant and more high-tech extraction techniques. Hemp seed oil tends to be green and dark, while CBD oil is usually more of a light golden to dark brown color. People won't get high when using hemp seed oil, as it doesn't contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and little or no CBD. Both hemp seed oil and CBD oil can be found at the local pharmacy, grocery store, and health food stores.

It is important for consumers to receive adequate education about the difference between hemp seed oil and CBD oil in order to choose the safest and most appropriate product.
